Stop letting your gut run your life.
Bloating. Acidity. Constipation. Loose stools. Food reactions.
Digestive problems can affect far more than what you eat. They can dictate when you leave the house, what you wear, how you travel, how you work and whether you actually enjoy going out for dinner.
If you’re regularly experiencing digestive symptoms, I will help you investigate what may be contributing to them and build a personalised plan to improve your gut health.

Does any of this sound familiar?
You wake up earlier than everyone else because you need time to go to the bathroom before work.
You avoid certain foods, but you’re no longer quite sure what you can and can’t eat.
You’re fine in the morning but look and feel bloated by the end of the day.
You experience acidity or reflux after meals.
Your bowel movements swing between constipation and loose stools.
You worry about your stomach when you’re travelling or going somewhere without easy access to a bathroom.
Or perhaps you’ve simply accepted that this is “how your stomach is”.
It may not have to be.
The first step is understanding what’s happening rather than simply learning to live around your symptoms.
Why am I bloated?
This is one of the most common questions I hear.
And unfortunately, there isn’t one answer.
Bloating and other digestive symptoms can have many different contributors.
What you’re eating matters, but so can how you’re eating, meal timing, food sensitivities or intolerances, stress, sleep, medication, your gut microbiome and other underlying health issues.
That’s why I don’t start by handing every client the same list of foods to eliminate.
We start with you.
Why do I feel bad after certain foods?
Food and food sensitivities
Sometimes foods that are considered perfectly “healthy” simply don’t work well for an individual.
I know this personally.
I discovered that gluten and dairy don’t agree with my body, which is tough as I'm married to an Italian.
But that doesn’t mean I think everyone should stop eating gluten or dairy. But they can be inflammatory for many people.
The question is:
What works for your body?
We look at what you’re eating, when symptoms appear and whether a carefully structured elimination and reintroduction approach may be useful.
Do I need to avoid these foods forever?
Not necessarily, we can give you certain enzymes that can help digest certain 'problem foods'. We can help heal your gut by balancing the microbes that live there, remove infections and mend the gut lining.
Why do I get terrible acidity and reflux?
GERD can be due to how we are eating.
Sometimes we’re so focused on what we’re eating that we forget how we’re eating.
Eating quickly between meetings.
Barely chewing.
Eating while answering emails.
Having a huge dinner late at night.
Lying down immediately afterwards.
Living on coffee all morning and then eating everything at 8pm.
These patterns can matter.
Part of my work is helping you build healthier eating behaviours without organising your entire life around food.
It could also be due to low stomach acid from years of acidity medicaitons (PPIs).
Is my gut microbiome imbalanced?
The trillions of microorganisms living in the digestive tract form a complex ecosystem.
Diet, medication, travel, foods and other factors can influence that ecosystem.
In selected cases, further gut microbiome testing may provide useful information. I don’t believe everyone needs expensive functional testing simply because they are bloated.
Testing should answer a useful question and ideally change what we do next.
Could there be something else going on?
Not every digestive problem can or should be solved through nutrition.
Persistent symptoms can sometimes require medical investigation for conditions such as coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, infection or other gastrointestinal conditions.
Where your symptoms or results suggest medical assessment is appropriate, I work alongside or refer to doctors and other specialists.
Good Functional Medicine isn’t about assuming everything has a nutritional solution.
It’s about knowing what needs investigating.
How I investigate gut issues
We connect the dots rather than looking at one symptom in isolation.
Depending on your individual situation, I may look at:
- Your symptoms and when they occur
- Bloating, gas, reflux, bowel movements, abdominal discomfort, fatigue and reactions to particular foods.
- Your health history
- Previous diagnoses, infections, medication, antibiotics, family history and how your symptoms developed over time.
- Your current diet
- Not just whether you “eat healthily”, but what you’re actually eating, quantities, protein, fibre, meal composition, timing and patterns.
- Your blood tests
I review relevant existing blood work in the context of your symptoms and history and may recommend discussing additional testing with your medical team where appropriate.
Your lifestyle
Sleep, stress, movement, alcohol, work, travel and the way you eat.
Further investigation
Where useful, this may include functional gut testing or referral to an appropriate medical specialist.
Then we build your plan
Understanding what’s happening is only useful if you know what to do about it.
Your individual plan may include:
Personalised nutrition
Meal plans and recipes
Changes to meal timing and eating habits
Structured elimination and reintroduction where appropriate
Protein and fibre targets
Supplement recommendations where appropriate
Eating-out strategies
Travel plans
Sleep and stress support
Movement and lifestyle changes
Behaviour-change coaching
And importantly, we keep adjusting.
Your plan needs to work in Mumbai on a Tuesday, on a work trip to London, at an Italian restaurant on Saturday night and during the week when everything goes wrong.
Because a theoretically perfect diet that you can’t live with isn’t a very useful health plan.

Looking after your gut should not make your life smaller
I don’t believe good gut health means becoming frightened of food.
I eat out.
I travel.
I enjoy wine.
I eat with Italians and travel to Europe, despite not eating gluten.
Food is nutrition, but it’s also culture, pleasure, family and connection.
The goal is to understand your body well enough to make informed choices without letting food or digestive symptoms dominate your life.
Start by understanding what’s going on.
Get your
Functional Health Assessment
If you’ve been struggling with digestive symptoms and aren’t sure what to tackle first, this is where I recommend starting.
Before we meet, you complete a detailed health questionnaire and send me your recent blood tests and relevant health information.
I review everything beforehand.
During our 75 minute consultation, we explore your symptoms, health history, nutrition, digestion, sleep, stress and lifestyle and identify your key priorities.
You leave with a clearer understanding of what deserves attention and what I recommend doing next.
If your situation would benefit from deeper support, we can then discuss my 12-Week Health Optimisation Programme.
1 / Do I need a Gut Microbiome Test?
Not necessarily.
Testing is useful when the result can help answer a meaningful question or influence what we do next. I don’t recommend functional testing simply because it’s available.
2 / Can you work with me if I'm not in Mumbai?
Yes. I work with clients online internationally as well as in person in Mumbai.
3 / Do you prescribe supplements?
I recommend nutritional supplements where appropriate and within my professional scope. Supplements should complement rather than replace good nutrition and appropriate medical care.
4 / Can you diagnose IBS, SIBO or other digestive conditions?
No. Diagnosis is the role of an appropriately qualified medical professional. I can help you discover food sensitivities, gut microbiome imbalances, low stomach acid and ways to improve your symptoms.
I work on nutrition, lifestyle and behaviour change and collaborate with or refer to doctors I work with when medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment is required.
